Arpege by Lanvin was first created in 1927 by Jeanne Lanvin as a dedication to her daughter Marguerite: the story of a mothers' love for her child. This maternal love is represented by the perfume's emblem, unique in its kind: a woman and child, representing Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter, in an attitude full of loving tenderness. The composition of Arpege is a marvellous floral symphony in which more than 60 natural essences all play their harmonious part.
Top notes include aldehyde, bergamot and neroli, with heart notes of ylang-ylang, Bulgarian rose, iris, jasmine, coriander, cloves, geranium, lily of the valley and tuberose. Base notes combine patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood, vanilla and styrax. It is recommended for evening wear.
