Antaeus by Chanel was the name of a semi-god defeated by Hercules because he lacked power and poetry: the human element. Powerful as a god, gentle as a man: Antaeus belongs to the trend for fragrances with a strong personality that emphasize a man's virility that were all the rage in the 80s. Top notes include lemon, lime, coriander, myrtle, muscat sage, bergamot, cedar flower, and woods, with heart notes combine thyme, basil, rose, jasmine and orris. Base notes combine patchouli, labdanum, oakmoss, copra, amber, leather, musk and castoreum. It is recommended for a romantic occasion.
